The blurb: A young couple’s romantic weekend getaway is interrupted by a birth control mishap in this stop motion animated comedy.
This is a rather delightful piece of animation which explores an awkward subject. This couple’s relationship seems fairly new and the possibility of an unexpected pregnancy prompts some delightful interaction and difficult moments. What I liked about this was the absolutely straightforward depiction of sex and nudity in this animated form. There’s no L-shaped sheet here. There’s also a good exploration of how the possibility of pregnancy affects men and women differently.
This film played at the Sundance Film Festival and won Best Animated Short at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
